Neville walked out of St. Mungo’s, trailing slightly behind his grandmother, as they walked back to the car that was waiting for them on the corner. Keeping his head low so his grandmother would not see the tears coursing down his face, Neville bit back the rising sob, knowing he had to control his emotions.

"Hurry up, Neville."

"Yes, Gran." Obediently, he lengthened his step, fingers rubbing the wrapper his mother had given him. Why on earth did he have to run into his friends in his parent’s hospital ward? And what was he going to say to them now?
