Revolutions
July 7th, 2005
By Wulf

Title: Revolutions
House: Gryffindor
Rating: PG
Characters: Harry and Hermione
Challenge: Independence
Word Count: 100
A/N:Somewhere around book 6.

"Hermione." Harry sat down, "About this whole spew, thing."

Exasperated, Hermione replied, "It’s S.P.E.W., not spew. You should know that by now!"

"Right. Sorry." Gamely, he pressed on, "Listen, you want to know why S.P.E.W. is failing?"

Hermione frowned, snapping, "It. Is. Not. Failing."

Harry just looked at her levelly, "It fails because you cannot force freedom on people. They have to want it, be willing to suffer and die. They have to fight for it." Seeing that she was about to argue, Harry added, "All revolutions have to start at home, Hermione. Otherwise, it’s just a failed sociology experiment."
