“No, Ron. It’s not any of your bloody business who I correspond with.” Hermione snapped back, jerking Victor’s letter out of Ron’s hands and smoothing the parchment on the table, completely irritated.

Eyes and temper flaring, Ron pounded the table with his fist, “It is if you are my girlfriend.” He growled, “I just don’t want you talking to that prat, is all.”

“Well, tough.” Hermione spat back, gathering her things and rising with dignity. “He is a friend. That’s it. End of file. If you can’t trust me with a pen pal, then you can’t trust me at all.”
