Title:
Words Don’t Matter
House: Gryffindor
Rating: PG
Characters: Bellatrix and Narcissa
Challenge: Changes
Word Count: 100

After the last session with Draco, Bellatrix poured herself a firewhiskey.  Intently gazing into the fire, she started when she felt a blanket drop on her shoulders.

“You looked cold.”  Narcissa shrugged off the look Bellatrix shot her.

Taking a sip, Bellatrix muttered, “I am always cold.”  She shivered, adding bleakly, “It’s just worse, now.  After Azkaban.”

Narcissa laid her head on Bellatrix’s shoulder, “I am sorry.”

So quiet that Narcissa wasn’t sure if she’d heard her correctly, Bella breathed, “So am I.”  Stroking her sister’s hair, she added suddenly, “You know I love you.”

Narcissa smiled softly, “I know.”
