Title: The Guardian
House: Gryffindor
Rating: G
Characters: Hermione and Rowena
Challenge: The Founders
Word Count: 100

Late one night, during N.E.W.T.s, Hermione left Harry’s bed and snuck into the library, intent on some last minute cramming. As the candles burned low, Hermione kept looking up charms, seeking something but not knowing what. Finally, reaching the end of the seventh book, Hermione slammed it shut and drew it back to throw it in disgust.

I wouldn’t do that if I were you.

What the hell?”

Come, come, Hermione, you know me, daughter of my other self.

With a start, Hermione realized that she did know her; it was Rowena, still guarding her library to this very day.
