Nature's Call

Alpha female, eyes wide with fright,
eluding hunters in the night.
Trying to get home to her den,
terrified of the world of men.

Desperately seeking a mate,
she wandered too far, out too late.
Opposite sex may be her downfall
so why did she heed nature's call?

She did because she had no choice.
Females were not given a voice.
We hunt to find the perfect mate
all due to mother nature's dates.

Hunters wound her, leaving a scar.
She bit one, leveling the par.
Love is overshadowed by lust
for blood, steaming, color of rust.

Snarling, she laid them all to waste.
That's what they get for too much haste.
A mate, now that, she did not find.
Nothing but blood lust in her mind.
